Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital in Illinois is seeking a New Graduate RN to deliver safe patient care on 12-hour shifts in a full-time role. You will follow the nursing process, coordinate with physicians, and mentor by a dedicated preceptor during orientation.

Candidate must be in final semester or recent graduate from ADN/BSN/MSN programs, hold an Illinois RN license, and maintain BLS; ACLS required within 30 days of hire. Excellent communication and patient advocacy are essential.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other staff.
• Communicates with the physician about changes in patient condition including hemodynamic monitoring and diagnostics.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality and responds quickly to changes in condition.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. They communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

New Graudate RN

8 - 16 weeks of new graduate orientation with an appointed preceptor (dependent on unit)

Requirements

Candidates must be completing their final semester of an accredited ADN/BSN/MSN program within six months, or have graduated within the last six months of the start of the program.

Candidate's must have a valid Illinois RN license verified by the IDFPR website

Must possess a BLS CPR card through American Heart Association

Work Shift Details

New Graduate RNs are hired into full-time 12-hr shifts 7a-730p / 7p-730a
