Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross.
New grad or RN with <1 year of acute direct care inpatient experience.
ACLS certification within first year of hire (if in critical care area).

Responsibilities

Participate in residency core curriculum based on learning needs.
Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
Establish and revise patient care priorities by acuity, preferences and resources.
Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and take corrective action.
Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when safety is in question.
Document inpatients’ medical records.
