RWJBarnabas Health offers a comprehensive New Graduate RN Residency Program across multiple NJ facilities. The program supports new graduates as they transition from student to professional nurse with structured orientation, mentorship, and specialty tracks.

Participants are assigned a preceptor, engage in foundational courses, and receive ongoing development to build confidence and clinical competency in a dynamic, patient-centered setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN program.
• Active, unencumbered New Jersey RN license prior to hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
• Less than 6 months of acute care nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• One-year New Graduate RN Residency program with supervision.
• Orientation and ongoing professional development sessions.
• Foundational coursework reflecting nursing standards and scope of practice.
• Apply professional accountability and ethics throughout the residency.
• Mentorship and year-long support across rotations.
