The year-long residency blends immersive clinical practice, extended preceptorship and protected learning time, with mentorship and resources designed to foster excellence from day one.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred within 5 years of hire.
No prior experience required for the RN residency.
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligibility to obtain licensure.

Responsibilities

Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care within your hired specialty.
Work with experienced RNs, physicians and the care team in a complex academic medical environment.
Participate in a structured 12-month Nurse Residency Program with monthly education sessions.
Build clinical judgment and confidence through extended preceptorship and progressive independence.
