Job summary

VCU Health in South Hill, VA is launching a 12‑month Nurse Residency Program for new graduate nurses. Eligible hires enroll in the VIZIENT Nurse Residency to build clinical leadership, decision-making, and hands‑on learning during the first year.

The program includes seminars, unit-based learning, and a capstone evidence‑based project. Schedule: Three 12‑hour shifts weekly (7pm–7:30am) with every third weekend.

Qualifications

• Must have Authorization to Test letter within 90 days after graduation.
• RN Licensure in Virginia or a compact state within 90 days of graduation.
• Current RN Licensure in Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the VIZIENT Nurse Residency Program during your first year.
• Attend monthly resident seminars and hands-on unit-based learning for real-world experience.
• Develop clinical decision-making skills to enhance patient care and participate in an evidence-based project.
