Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta in Georgia offers a year-long RN Residency Program to support new graduates transitioning to registered nurses with hands-on clinical experience and mentorship from nurse educators and seasoned staff.

As a Resident II, you will receive advanced clinical training, monthly educational sessions, and a structured preceptorship, with teamwork and evidence-based project work to guide your development.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days of employment is required.
• ACLS certification within 1 year of employment is required.
• RN license in good standing and degree from an accredited nursing program are required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift; report changes.
• Perform procedures and document care in the medical record in a timely manner.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor therapeutic responses; notify provider as needed.
• Provide exceptional, patient-centered care and respond to patient requests.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up steps.
