Job summary

Henrico Doctors' Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, offers an RN Residency Program designed to bridge from student nurse to registered nurse in a supportive learning environment. This paid, year-long program provides hands-on experience, clinical simulations, and mentoring from experienced nurse leaders.

The 2026–2027 start dates are available, with shift assignment based on unit needs. Applicants should be newly licensed or graduating nurses seeking structured training and professional growth

Qualifications

• New graduates welcome; RN residency provides paid training and structured learning.
• BLS within 30 days of employment is required.
• ACLS within 1 year of employment is required.
• Other certifications may be required during employment.
• No previous experience needed.
• Some travel may be needed for training.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other orders; document care.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses; notify provider if needed.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about condition, plan, medications, and follow-up.
