Job summary

The HCA Healthcare Residency Program at Henrico Doctors' Hospital in Richmond, VA offers a paid RN residency to help new graduates transition from classroom to bedside, with a structured series of learning experiences, simulations, and mentoring.

As an RN Resident you will assess patient conditions, perform procedures, administer medications, and collaborate with providers and the care team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS certification within 1 year of employment.
• RN license in the state.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and shift changes.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other nursing duties as ordered.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses.
• Respond to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and follow-up.
