Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital is seeking a New Grad RN Resident in Avon, OH to join the Complex Medical Care Unit. This structured residency supports new graduates in developing essential nursing skills while delivering high-quality patient care.

The role offers a full-time night shift and provides a unique pathway to professional growth through a one-year accredited Nurse Residency program, with supportive supervision and a dedicated success coach.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN)
New grad or less than one year of RN work experience
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred for Critical Care areas

Responsibilities

Assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional patient care.
Interact directly with patients, families, and visitors.
Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care.
Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate corrective actions.
Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when needed.
Document in patients’ medical records.
