Job summary

UNC Health Care is hiring New Grad Nurses to join the Youth Behavioral Health Facility in Butner, NC. The New Graduate RN will work on the Healing Journey Unit with adolescents in crisis and diverse mental health diagnoses.

This is a full-time role offering three 12-hour shifts per week. Candidates must be in final nursing school semester or within 12 months of graduation, pass the NCLEX, and be licensed RN before start.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Must be licensed RN in North Carolina at start date.

Responsibilities

• Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.
• Coordinates and delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
• Educates patients and families as needed.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team for care planning.
• Participates in unit goals and performance improvement activities.
