UNC Rex Holly Springs Hospital is launching a Nurse Residency for new graduates, a 12-month program designed to transition from academia to clinical practice. It includes classroom sessions, continued education, and a group evidence-based project with milestone check-ins by leadership and educators.

The program aims to raise proficiency from novice to competent nurse, promote evidence-based bedside practice, and develop clinical leadership.

Formación

• New Graduate Nurse: Graduation from school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the day of clinical care.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Provider.

Responsabilidades

• Education: identifies learning needs and attends education programs.
• Evaluation of Care: reviews outcomes and contributes to care plans.
• Implementation: cares for patients with complex problems and follows policy.
• Leadership: supports unit goals and fosters teamwork.
• Patient Assessment: prioritizes needs and plans for discharge.
• Planning: collaborates to update the care plan with multidisciplinary resources.
• Research: reads journals and discusses applicable studies.
