Qualifications

• Registered nurse licensed to practice in the state where employed.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required by specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care; involve patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Continuously evaluates outcomes and takes action as needed.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocols.
• Communicates effectively and delegates appropriately to team members.
• Pursues professional development and maintains required certifications.
• Adheres to ANA Ethics and performs age-appropriate patient care.
• Maintains timely EHR documentation; may float to other units if needed.
