Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a New Graduate Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit in New Albany, IN. This full-time night shift (7pm-7am), 36 hours weekly role welcomes new grads committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

The PCU provides intermediate care for cardiovascular patients, with opportunities to expand assessment skills while managing drips and specialized procedures. Indiana RN license and ACLS within 12 months are required.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana or compact state RN license or graduate of approved nursing program.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
• ACLS Certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, comprehensive nursing care from admission to discharge.
• Serve as an on-shift team member delivering direct care to patients, families, and coworkers.
• Care for a high-acuity cardiovascular PCU population and monitor patient status.

The Registered Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers. **About the Unit:**The Progressive Care Unit, also known as PCU, is a 32-bed intermediate level of care unit between the Inpatient Units and the Critical Care units. While the unit specializes in cardiovascular care nurses will encounter a variety of diagnoses, such as CHF, dysrhythmias, DKA, respiratory issues, sepsis, etc. While working closely with an interdisciplinary team, nurses provide excellent care for a high acuity-based population. PCU is a great place for nurses to cultivate and expand their assessment skills while managing several drips and other specialized procedures.
