Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN is seeking a New Grad Registered Nurse for the Observation Unit. This full-time role covers nights from 7pm to 7am, with a 36-hour weekly schedule and every fourth weekend commitment.

The unit cares for short-stay patients, including chest pain and post-procedure care. New grads are welcome to apply; a supportive team provides orientation and ongoing mentorship.

Qualificações

• Indiana or compact state RN license required or graduate of approved nursing program.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
• ACLS for Healthcare Provider required (obtained within 12 months of hire).

Job Description:

Seeking New Grad Registered Nurse! Baptist Health Floyd, Observation Unit Full-time (36 Hours Weekly), Nights (7pm-7am) Every 4th Weekend Requirement Benefit Eligible

Job Duties:

In this role, the RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.

About the Unit:

The Observation Unit is a 29-bed unit affiliated with the Emergency Department and observes patients who are expected to be in the hospital less than 24 hours. Nurses in this unit care for a variety of patients including chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, heart catheterizations, laparoscopic cholecystectomies, UTIs, and DVTs. The unit is staffed with a provider between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM each day of the week to provide support and high-level care. New Graduate RNs welcome.

Qualifications:

• Current Indiana or compact state RN license required or expected graduate of approved nursing program.
• BLS for healthcare provider required.
• ACLS for Healthcare provider required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
