Job summary

Penn Medicine's Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, PA is hiring a Clinical Nurse 1 New to Practice/Apprentice to provide direct patient care on the 5 Fred surgical unit, serving bariatric, thyroid, vascular and other surgeries. This role is open to new graduates and experienced nurses.

Hours: Full Time (36 hours/week), Nights (7pm–7:30am); every third weekend and rotating holidays. You will develop competencies through the Nurse Residency Program, work with an interprofessional team, and

Qualifications

• RN licensure required; BSN preferred for Magnet-designated roles.
• New to practice/new graduate welcome; Nurse Residency participation required.
• CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across age-appropriate populations.
• Collaborate with interprofessional team to coordinate care.
• Meet competency and professional practice standards and advance within 18 months.
