Job summary

UNC Health Care in Chapel Hill, NC is seeking a New Graduate Registered Nurse for the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit. This 36-hour-week position offers an extensive benefits package and the chance to work in a 22-bed NSICU providing comprehensive neuro care.

Qualifications

Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's or Master's in Nursing within seven years of employment date.
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the day of clinical care.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

Education - identifies and meets learning needs; uses patient education materials; assesses readiness to learn.
Evaluation of Care - identifies expected patient outcomes; collaborates with team to evaluate care.
Implementation - provides competent care for patients with complex problems; conducts bedside testing as required.
