Job summary

UNC Health Care's Neurosurgical ICU in Chapel Hill is seeking a Clinical Nurse II for a full-time, rotating 7am-7pm/7pm-7am schedule. This 36-hour-per-week role delivers expert bedside care in a 22-bed unit with comprehensive neuro-focused specialties.

Responsibilities include education, care planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and discharge planning, with an emphasis on patient safety and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• If hired after January 6, 2014, must obtain BSN or MSN within seven years.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent clinical nursing care in accordance with professional standards.
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Collaborate with interprofessional team to ensure safe, effective care.
• Participate in education and development activities.
• Assist with discharge planning and patient education.
