Qualifications

• Licensed RN in North Carolina.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Nursing required/within seven years if hired after Jan 6, 2014.

Responsibilities

• Education: identify learning needs and attend education programs; assess readiness of patient/family/caregivers.
• Evaluation of care: set expected outcomes; discuss with interdisciplinary team to improve patient care.
• Implementation: provide care to patients with complex problems and adhere to policies/procedures; organize care delivery.
• Leadership: set goals for professional growth; support intra/interdepartmental collaboration and unit goals.
• Patient assessment: synthesize data to prioritize care; plan discharge needs and support family advocacy.
• Planning: collaborate with patient/family to update care plans; use multidisciplinary resources.
• Research: read journals and bring ideas for evaluation of applicability.
