Job summary

UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill is seeking a New Graduate RN for the 3 West Acute Care Nephrology & Medicine unit, offering a yearlong transition-to-practice residency. You will be supported by mentorship and a structured orientation, with opportunities for professional development in a collaborative UNC Health environment.

The role involves 36 hours/week with rotating day/night shifts and weekends. NC RN licensure required prior to start; new graduates within 12 months are eligible.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• RN license must be obtained prior to first day of employment in NC.
• New Graduate Residency eligibility: final semester students or graduates within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
• Participate in unit goals and performance improvement activities.
