Job summary

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a recognized and accredited Nursing (RN) education program. Education will be verified.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of the steps in the nursing process and how the patient plan of care is developed, implemented, and revised to meet the needs of the patient (under direct supervision of an RN).
• Assessment: Collects patient data under the direct supervision of the RN and reports significant changes in patient condition; completes accurate documentation.
• Planning: Observes prioritization of patient needs and development of the interdisciplinary plan of care under RN supervision.
• Implementation: Observes the implementation of the patient plan of care under RN supervision.
• Evaluation: Reports patient responses to treatments and collaborates with the RN on changes to nursing interventions.
• Participates in patient/family education needs under RN supervision.
