Job summary

West Tennessee Healthcare is seeking a Nursing Unlicensed professional to provide direct and indirect patient care under supervision. The role requires collaboration with RNs, charge nurses, and managers to maintain high-quality patient experiences.

Responsibilities include documenting care, ensuring patient safety, and adhering to hospital policies. A nursing program completion and BLS certification are required for orientation and ongoing employment.

Qualifications

• Official transcript from an accredited nursing program required to begin orientation.
• Completion of an accredited ASN or BSN with ATT.
• BLS certification must be current during orientation and employment.
• Successful completion of a nursing program from an accredited school.
• Basic computer skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care as assigned by charge nurse and/or preceptor.
• Ensures patient safety and updates the plan of care in the medical record.
• Documents delivery of patient care and other pertinent information.
• Performs and ensures safe disposal of hazardous pharmaceutical waste.
• Communicates patient and unit information to RN, Charge Nurse, Clinical Manager, Director, and other shifts in a timely manner.
• Coordinates with other departments using proper lines of communication.
• Performs secondary assessments on patients in Med/Surg, Progressive Care, Post-Acute, and Skilled Nursing as required.
