Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse who provides direct patient care and uses the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation and coordination of care—for patients and families across the health care continuum.

The role emphasizes adherence to Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing rules, clinical education, quality outcomes and fiscal accountability within the department’s model of care and established policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's degree or BSN; BSN preferred.
• Registration and current RN licensure in the state of MA in good standing preferred prior to start date.
• Requires current BLS certification; ACLS may be required for some units.
• Additional certifications may be required for certain practice areas.
• Basic computer proficiency to access, enter, and interpret data.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients and team.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination of care.
• Provide direct patient care and contribute to outcomes across the care continuum.
• Collaborate with the health care team to implement and adjust care plans.
• Adhere to MA Board of Registration in Nursing rules and agency policies.
