Northwest Texas Healthcare System is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe, evidence-based care in a 495-bed facility serving Amarillo and surrounding areas. You will lead nursing care for patients, promote safety, and participate in continuing education and leadership development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Must pass pre-employment assessment(s).
• BLS certification required and maintained.
• Current Texas nursing license or permit to practice nursing.
• De-escalation training within 90 days of hire; ongoing competency demonstrated.
• Compliance with facility-established nursing competencies.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and evaluates an age-appropriate care plan using the nursing process and patient education.
• Maintains professional behavior when addressing issues or conflicts; uses appropriate resources.
• Provides a safe environment for patients, families, visitors and staff.
• Assesses patient safety risks and implements precautions.
• Ensures compliance with organizational and accrediting standards.
• Follows patient-centered care delivery model in all nursing care.

Education

RN program graduate or equivalent

Texas RN license

BLS certification (AHA)
