Job summary

Responsibilities include developing care plans, maintaining safety, and complying with regulatory standards while pursuing ongoing professional development and leadership opportunities within the hospital system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s).
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Current state nursing license in Texas.
• De-escalation training within 90 days of hire.
• Ongoing demonstration of clinically pertinent competencies.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and evaluates an age-appropriate plan of care using the nursing process and patient education.
• Maintains professional behavior when addressing conflicts or issues.
• Provides a safe environment for patients, families, visitors and staff.
• Assesses risks to patient safety and applies appropriate precautions.
• Follows standards from the organization and accrediting agencies.
• Supports the patient-centered care delivery model in daily nursing care.
