Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program within the past 12 months.
• Must obtain nursing license and registration within the state-defined timeline or within 90 days of hire.
• Current appropriate state Temporary Permit.
• Must meet state practice requirements where employed.

Responsibilities

• Directs Patient Care Technician’s safe and effective delivery of chronic hemodialysis therapy.
• Delegates tasks to direct patient care staff including LVN/LPNs and Dialysis Assistants.
• Assesses daily patient care needs and develops appropriate assignments.
• Participates in staff training and orientation of new staff.
• Communicates with physicians and team to coordinate patient care.
• Maintains complete documentation of patient care and treatment records.
