New Graduate RN needed for the Cardiothoracic Critical Care Unit at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill, NC. This is a 36 hours/week, day/night and weekend rotation, with flexible self-scheduling.

This position offers an excellent Benefit package, and incentives to eligible applicants. The Cardiothoracic Critical Care Unit is part of the new North Carolina Surgical Hospital, and part of the UNC Center for Heart and Vascular Care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program approved by the state Board of Nursing.
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the start date.
• Completion of required residency programs for new graduates when applicable.

Responsabilités

• Provide competent nursing care in accordance with professional standards.
• Coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process.
• Participate in education activities to meet identified learning needs.
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams to promote continuity of care.
• Identify and respond to complex patient needs and discharge planning.
• Assist with planning and prioritization of patient care tasks.
• Engage in evidence-based practice and quality improvement activities.
