Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Education - Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self.
• Evaluation of Care - Identifies expected patient outcomes and discusses plan with the interdisciplinary team.
• Implementation - Delivers competent care for patients with complex needs per nursing standards and policies.
• Leadership - Helps set goals for professional growth and supports teamwork across units.
• Patient Assessment - Synthesizes data to determine priorities for care and anticipates discharge needs.
• Planning - Collaborates with patient/family to update the plan of care.
• Research - Reads journals and discusses applicability with the team.
