Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Nursing program graduate to join the dialysis team. You will provide safe, patient-centered care under the supervision of a licensed nurse while working toward your nursing license. You must obtain your license within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities include pre/post-dialysis assessments, vascular access cannulation, monitoring treatment, recording data, and maintaining a compliant clinical environment. Prior patient care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program within the past 12 months.
• Must obtain nursing license within 90 days of employment.
• Prior patient care experience in hospital or related facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs vascular access evaluation pre-treatment.
• Records pre and post-dialysis data, weight and vitals.
• Cannulates vascular access and reports difficulties to nurse supervisor.
• Initiates dialysis per orders including QB and QD.
• Monitors patient response to dialysis therapy and documents changes.
• Obtains lab samples and prepares specimens for collection.
• Ensures lab specimens are collected and labeled per protocol.
• Maintains clean and safe dialysis environment and equipment.
• Enters all treatment data into the clinical system accurately.
• Reviews health records for completeness and corrections as needed.
