Good Samaritan in Luverne, MN is seeking Registered Nurses (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for day shift positions. The role emphasizes using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate resident care, collaborating with families and the care team, and coordinating medical interventions.

Qualified candidates hold an RN license, or a nursing degree with state board eligibility, and meet department competencies.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing.
• Obtains and maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation).
• Collaborate with resident, family and inter-disciplinary colleagues to plan and evaluate care.
• Coordinate resident assessment, education and various nursing interventions.
• May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed or unlicensed staff.
• Ensure safe and reliable administration of resident care.
