Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking an Experienced Registered Nurse for the Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute in Cleveland, OH. You will care for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, applying evidence-based practices and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires 1+ years of acute care RN experience, RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS within two months of hire. This is a full-time day-shift position in a premier heart care facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN) required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS within two months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services.
• Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, and document findings.
• Notify physicians of abnormal findings.
• Perform telephone triage and call rotations.
• Administer treatments and medications as ordered.
• Establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Coordinate ongoing care, identify discharge needs, and facilitate discharge planning.
• Evaluate, initiate, and maintain standards of care.
• Educate patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles in the department.

Education
