Job summary

Symbotic in Detroit, MI is seeking a New Grad- Project Manager, Manufacturing to support external manufacturing programs. You will learn from experienced PMs, coordinate across cross-functional teams, and gain hands-on exposure to product lines and facilities.

This entry-level role requires onsite work 3–5 days a week, willingness to travel up to 25%, and collaboration with quality, logistics, procurement, planning, and suppliers. Training and mentorship are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Interest in developing a career in project or program management within a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with project and productivity tools such as Jira, Microsoft Excel, or Microsoft Project.
• Ability to collaborate across functions including quality, logistics, procurement, planning, suppliers, and manufacturing.
• Ability to work onsite in the Detroit, Michigan area 3 to 5 days per week and spend time working in manufacturing environments.
• Willingness to support different product lines or functional areas based on business and project needs.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside experienced Project Managers, learning through coaching, mentorship, and hands-on project coordination.
• Coordinate project activities and follow up with vendors and cross-functional partners to help keep work moving forward.
• Participate in project and product-line meetings, helping coordinate activities, information, and follow-up actions.
• Support projects that may include new product introduction, automation, steel and structural components, bots, conveyors, and battery swap initiatives.
• Collaborate across quality, logistics, procurement, planning, suppliers, and manufacturing to develop an understanding of each function's role in project execution.
• Gain exposure to manufacturing and quality activities, including time working directly in manufacturing environments.

Education
