Symbotic in Wilmington, MA is seeking a New Grad Manufacturing Engineer to join the External Manufacturing team. You will support external partners and internal engineering to improve manufacturing processes, prepare products for production, and help enable readiness for our automated systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on exposure to manufacturing, automation, prototyping, or engineering processes.
• Foundational knowledge of machining, welding, additive manufacturing, assembly, or related production methods.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical or electrical engineering documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with interest in process improvement.
• Interest in using data, dashboards, automation, or emerging tools to improve manufacturing and engineering processes.

Responsibilities

• Support senior engineers and external manufacturing partners on manufacturing readiness, production support, and continuous improvement activities.
• Partner with Engineering and Quality teams to prepare manufacturing readiness documentation, support engineering changes, and help maintain standard manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Work across mechanical and electrical systems, including reviewing drawings, manufacturing requirements, and production-related technical documentation.
• Support Design for Manufacturability activities and help identify opportunities to improve manufacturability, quality, efficiency, and scalability.
• Assist with troubleshooting manufacturing and design challenges and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify practical solutions.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives, including opportunities to use dashboards, data, automation, or AI-enabled tools to improve team efficiency.
• Travel to external manufacturing partner locations as needed to gain hands‑on exposure to manufacturing operations and support production activities.
