Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital is seeking new graduate nurses entering their first RN role (ADN/BSN/MSN). The Graduate Nurse recruitment team will guide you through the Staff Nurse application process. Available units will be listed during the application, and you can select units of interest when applying.

Graduate nurses may participate in Nurse Residency Programs at select hospitals. This role is part of the BJC Total Rewards benefits package, with Magnet designation and strong teaching partnerships

Qualifications

• Graduate nurse must obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation and remain employed in MO.
• First RN role after completing a nursing program.
• Eligible ADN/BSN/MSN from an accredited school of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families on illness management and home care needs.
• Use critical thinking to assess patients’ needs.
• Develop and implement plans of care with the healthcare team.
• Evaluate patient responses and adjust care plans as needed.
• Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Adhere to safety-sensitive requirements and maintain alertness on site.
