Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis is seeking graduates entering their first RN role for a New Graduate Nurse position. Graduates from ADN/BSN/MSN programs (Jan 2027–May 2027) will be connected to our Graduate Nurse recruitment team to assist with the Staff Nurse application process.

Eligible units will be listed during application, with early submission encouraged. New graduates will obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation and participate in Nurse Residency Programs at select hospitals.

Qualifications

• Graduates must obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation.
• ADN, BSN or MSN from an accredited nursing program.
• New graduates entering their first RN role with hospital support.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients and families on managing illness or injury and post-treatment care.
• Assesses physical, psychosocial and emotional needs using critical thinking.
• Develops and implements care plans with the healthcare team.
• Evaluates patient responses and adjusts care plans as needed.
• Participates in safety, quality, and regulatory activities; pursues professional development.
• Work in a safety-sensitive environment and maintain alertness as required.
