Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital, part of the BJC HealthCare system, is seeking a New Graduate Nurse for its post-graduate program in Missouri. The role targets graduates from September 2026 through December 2026 who will enter their first RN role and connect with the Graduate Nurse recruitment team to navigate the Staff Nurse application process.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or associate's degree in nursing.
• Must obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation to remain employed in Missouri.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post treatment home care needs and medication administration.
• Uses critical thinking to assess and evaluate patient’s physical, psychosocial and emotional needs.
• Develops and implements individual plans of care in collaboration with the healthcare team, promoting patient- and family-centered care.
• Evaluates patient’s response and modifies plan of care throughout the stay.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance; engages in professional development.
• This is a safety-sensitive position requiring constant alertness and safe work practices.
