Job summary

SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - Lake Saint Louis is seeking a pre-licensure nursing resident to participate in the New Graduate Nurse Residency Program. Under RN supervision, you will deliver age-appropriate nursing care across a variety of medical conditions.

Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with eligibility for state licensure. Duties include assessing patients, educating families, documenting care, and collaborating with the health care team in a multi-state licensed

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Illinois NCLEX passing score required for Illinois licensure eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, performs delegated nursing tasks.
• Performs patient assessments across biophysical, psychosocial, spiritual, cultural needs.
• Develops patient and family education plans and provides coaching.
• Completes documentation per policy and physician orders.
• Collaborates with physicians and health-care professionals regarding patient care.
• Completes competency training and seeks guidance as needed.
