Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital - Jefferson City is seeking a pre-licensure graduate to join the Nurse Residency program. Under the direction of an RN, you will provide care to patients within the scope of your role and professional standards in the Progressive Care Unit during night shifts.

This 12‑month program combines monthly virtual sessions with hands-on practice to build confidence and skills. New graduates who seek licensure in Missouri and meet state board eligibility are encouraged to

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program
• Eligible to practice as determined by State Board of Nursing
• No experience required

Responsibilities

• Performs delegated tasks under RN supervision, based on demonstrated competence.
• Performs patient assessments including biophysical, psychosocial, spiritual and age-appropriate needs.
• Develops patient family education plans and provides health coaching.
• Completes accurate documentation and monitors delivery of nursing care.
• Collaborates with physicians and other health care professionals.
