Job summary

SSM Health DePaul Hospital – St. Louis is seeking a pre-licensure nursing graduate to join its New Graduate Nurse Residency Program. Under supervision, you will provide age-appropriate care to patients with diverse medical conditions and learn through mentored practice and formal education.

You will participate in hands-on nursing activities, complete required documentation, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patient outcomes and your professional growth within our system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Eligible to practice as determined by State Board of Nursing.
• Less than one year of experience working as an RN.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the RN Preceptor, performs delegated tasks based on demonstrated competence in nursing care activities.
• Performs patient assessments including biophysical, psychosocial, spiritual, cultural, and age-appropriate needs to develop and modify patient care plans.
• Develops a realistic patient-family education plan and provides health education and coaching.
• Completes accurate documentation in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Collaborates with physicians and other health care professionals regarding all aspects of patient care.
