Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a new graduate RN or LPN for the Oncology Unit (2A) in New Albany, IN. This full-time night shift position runs 7pm–7am and includes benefit eligibility.

The Oncology Unit is a 10-bed unit offering chemotherapy, hospice, telemetry and post-op care. New grads are welcome and supported as they grow their oncology skills.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana or compact state RN/LPN license or graduate of approved nursing program.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
• Chemo Certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge.
• Function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet patient, family and co-worker needs.

Job Duties

In this role, the RN/LPN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. The Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.

About the Unit

The Oncology Unit, also known as 2A, is a 10-bed unit that provides care to Chemotherapy/Cancer Support/Hospice/Telemetry/Post-Op patients. Nurses have the opportunity to build their skill set in a med/surg atmosphere while also developing specialty skills related to chemotherapy and oncology care. New Graduate LPNs and RNs are welcome.

Qualifications
