Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN is seeking a New Grad RN or LPN to join the Oncology Unit (2A) on nights. This full-time role is 36 hours weekly, 7pm to 7am, with benefit eligibility.

You will provide direct nursing care from admission to discharge, work as part of an on-shift team, and develop chemo and oncology skills in a med/surg setting. Current IN nurse license or graduate, BLS, chemo cert within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana or compact state RN/LPN license or graduate of approved nursing program.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
• Chemo Certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).

• Direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge.

Job Duties:

In this role, the RN/LPN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. The Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.

About the Unit:

The Oncology Unit, also known as 2A, is a 10-bed unit that provides care to Chemotherapy/Cancer Support/Hospice/Telemetry/Post-Op patients. Nurses have the opportunity to build their skill set in a med/surg atmosphere while also developing specialty skills related to chemotherapy and oncology care.New Graduate LPNs and RNs are welcome.

Qualifications:

BLS for Healthcare Provider required.

Chemo Certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
