Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Oncology Unit on nights (7pm–7am). This full-time position (36 hours weekly) offers direct patient care from admission to discharge and a supportive team environment.

The Unit cares for chemotherapy, cancer support, hospice and telemetry patients; new grads are welcome; required Indiana RN license, BLS, chemo cert within 12 months, and at least 1 year of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Indiana or compact RN license required.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
• Chemo Certification required within 12 months of hire.
• Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience required to hold a PRN position.

Job Duties

In this role, the RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.

About the Unit

The Oncology Unit, also known as 2A, is a 10-bed unit that provides care to Chemotherapy/Cancer Support/Hospice/Telemetry/Post-Op patients. Nurses have the opportunity to build their skill set in a med/surg atmosphere while also developing specialty skills related to chemotherapy and oncology care. New Graduate LPNs and RNs are welcome.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
• Chemo Certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
• Minimum of one (1) year of previous nursing experience required to hold a PRN position.
