Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN seeks a Registered Nurse for the Oncology Unit on a full-time night shift (7 pm–7 am). You will provide direct, comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission to discharge and collaborate with the on-shift team to meet patient, family, and coworker needs.

The 2A unit offers chemotherapy and oncology care with opportunities to expand med/surg skills; new graduates are welcome and a sign-on bonus is available for experienced external applicants.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana RN license (or compact state license).
• BLS for Healthcare Provider is required.
• Chemo certification required within 12 months of hire.

Job Duties

In this role, the RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.

About the Unit

The Oncology Unit, also known as 2A, is a 10-bed unit that provides care to Chemotherapy/Cancer Support/Hospice/Telemetry/Post-Op patients. Nurses have the opportunity to build their skill set in a med/surg atmosphere while also developing specialty skills related to chemotherapy and oncology care. New Graduate LPNs and RNs are welcome.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
• Chemo Certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).

We are conveniently located 10 minutes from downtown Louisville at 1850 State Street, New Albany, IN 47150.
