Job summary

Freeman Health System is seeking an RN for the ICU Step-Down Unit (TCU) on nights. This 36-hour weekly, full-time role involves comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, and multidisciplinary collaboration to support transitions from ICU to step-down care.

Eligible candidates must complete the RN residency, hold a Missouri RN license or compact license within timelines, and obtain required certifications (NIH Stroke Scale, ASLS, CPI, BLS, ACLS) within specified periods.

Qualifications

• Eligible to sit for State Boards (RN)
• Must complete RN Residency program
• Must obtain Missouri RN license or a compact license within 90 days of graduation or NCLEX passage
• Must pass Patient Care Orientation within 30 days of hire
• ASLS/NIH Stroke Scale/CPR certifications expected
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) training within 365 days
• Trauma/Nih Stroke/Stroke CE hours as required by unit

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs of assigned patients and families.
• Plan and implement appropriate interventions and evaluate effectiveness.
• Ensure safe and effective care with timely plan adjustments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to transition patients from ICU to step-down unit.
