Freeman Health in Joplin, MO is seeking a dedicated RN to join the ICU Step-Down Unit (TCU). The 20-bed unit cares for patients transitioning from ICU to Med-Surge, with a focus on cardiac, respiratory, and diabetes care.

Schedule is full-time nights (36 hours per week) emphasizing teamwork and high-quality patient outcomes. Applicants must complete the RN Residency, obtain Missouri RN licensure or a valid compact license within required days, and pass orientation within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Eligible to sit for State Boards.
• Must successfully complete RN Residency.
• Must obtain Missouri RN license or compact license within 90 days after graduation or 30 days after NCLEX (in state of residence).
• Must pass Patient Care Orientation (PCO) within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS within 180 days.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers within 60 days.
• Stroke Ceu Hours within yearly transcript due date.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, emotional, clinical and psychosocial needs of assigned patients and families; plan and implement appropriate interventions.
• Evaluate effectiveness and adjust plan in a timely manner to ensure safe and effective care.
• Under supervision, provide high-quality nursing care and collaborate with multidisciplinary team.
