Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis is hiring a New Graduate RN for Labor & Birth, a full-time night shift in a high-volume birthing center.

The 16-week residency supports new grads transitioning from student nurse to professional RN through immersive learning, mentorship, and hands-on clinical experience. Join a nationally respected team and develop advanced skills in fetal monitoring, patient assessment, and team collaboration while delivering compassionate care during life events.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Missouri or eligibility
• BLS certification (or obtained within 30 days of hire)
• New Graduate Nurses welcome — residency program for transition to practice

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based patient care for labor and birth patients
• Develop and manage individualized care plans
• Assess and respond to changing patient conditions
• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, NICU, and anesthesia teams
• Educate patients and families throughout care journey
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Support ongoing education and certifications for growth
