Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis is seeking a New Graduate RN to join our Labor & Birth team on full-time nights.

This 16-week residency supports new grads through immersive learning, mentorship, and hands-on clinical experience in the region's largest birthing center. You'll develop advanced skills in fetal monitoring, patient assessment, and collaborative care while building confidence in a fast-paced, family-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN) is required.
• Current RN License or eligibility for licensure in Missouri is required.
• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (or obtained within 30 days of hire) is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based patient care
• Develop and manage individualized patient care plans
• Assess, monitor, and respond to changing patient conditions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams
• Conduct bedside handoffs and patient safety reporting
• Educate patients and families throughout their care journey
• Utilize diagnostic, laboratory, and fetal monitoring data
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Support professional growth through ongoing education and certifications
• Serve as a patient advocate while promoting exceptional outcomes

Education
