Mercy Hospital St. Louis is seeking a New Graduate RN for the Labor & Birth unit. This hospital offers a 16-week Nurse Residency designed to help new grads transition from student nurse to professional RN, with immersion, mentorship, and hands-on clinical experience.

Qualifications

• RN new graduate; residency pathway in Labor & Birth
• BLS certification required; ACLS/NRP optional per unit
• Graduate from accredited nursing program with eligibility for Missouri RN license

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based patient care
• Develop and manage individualized patient care plans
• Assess, monitor, and respond to changing patient conditions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams (OB, NICU, anesthesia)
• Conduct bedside handoffs and patient safety reporting
• Educate patients and families throughout their care journey
• Utilize diagnostic, laboratory, and fetal monitoring data
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Support professional growth through ongoing education and certifications
• Serve as a patient advocate while promoting exceptional outcomes
