Job summary

Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, LLC in Park Ridge, IL is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our outpatient rehabilitation team. You will evaluate patients, develop and adjust treatment plans, and collaborate with physicians to optimize function.

Qualifications

• Graduate from accredited Physical Therapy Program.
• Licensed or eligible to sit for boards in the state of Illinois.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Professional and effective writing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift greater than 25 pounds.
• Demonstrates good understanding of proper body mechanics for lifting, pulling, pushing.
• Ability to stand and sit for sequences of time greater than 30 minutes.
• Ability to work on a computer for lengthy times during the day.

Responsibilities

• Exceptional patient care.
• Interprets physician orders, performs initial evaluations and establishes treatment plans and functional goals.
• Responsible for upgrading and amending the treatment goals as necessary during the episode of care.
• Written documentation on patient status to physicians per compliance guidelines of IBJI rehab.
• Determine discharge timeline and appropriate follow up.
• Supervision of Rehabilitation Technicians with patient care and administrative staff as needed.
• Compliance with daily paperwork and timely documentation of treatment in patient charts.
• Stays current with billing policies and demonstrates ethical billing practices.
• Maintains active state license by earning CEUs through outside courses and IBJI sponsored opportunities.
• Develops positive relationships with physician teams at IBJI.
• Takes an active role in the patient medical team and participates in IBJI programs.
