Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates critical knowledge, skills, and judgment to care for patients requiring complex assessment and therapies in the ER.
• Utilizes information and assessment data to respond to rapidly changing patient conditions.
• Identifies and prioritizes information to take evidence-based, patient-focused action.
• Documents patient care in a knowledgeable, skillful, and consistent manner meeting regulatory standards.
• Communicates and collaborates with medical staff and interdisciplinary team to plan and manage the unit.
• Acts as patient and family advocate and preceptor or charge nurse when needed.
