Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Maintains current State of Alabama RN license.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates critical knowledge, skills, and judgement to care for patients requiring complex assessment and therapies, high intensity interventions, and high-level continuous nursing vigilance.
• Uses information and assessment data to anticipate and respond with confidence to rapidly changing patient conditions.
• Identifies and prioritizes information to take immediate, evidence-based actions.
• Monitors and adjusts medical equipment and records readings from monitors and devices.
• Responds to life-saving situations following nursing standards and protocols.
• Observes, assesses, and interprets patient status, escalating to Physicians as needed.
• Develops and revises individualized care plans based on patient response and progress.
• Serves as a patient and family advocate.
